WS Game 1: Flash take advantage of errors to beat Glovers

Marrero goes 8 2/3 innings in 6-3 win

George Sisler and Kirby Puckett each had three hits and two RBI and the Fort Lauderdale Flash took advantage of two key errors as the Flash beat the Golden Glovers 6-3 in Game 1 of the World Series.

Connie Marrero pitched 8 2/3 innings to get the win, while Bobby Jenks came on in the 9th with two on to strike out Darin Darst and get the save. Kevin Maas had a two-run home run for the Glovers.
