Pujols’ 2 HRs leads Monkey
Alex Rodriguez hit his 30th home run of the season with three RBI to lead the Golden Glovers over the Rolling Thunder 12-5 to give the Glovers home-field advantage in the World Series.
Kirby Puckett and Willie Stargell each had two hits and two RBI in the win as the Glovers roughed up Greg Swindell and Mr. Geek. Zach Greinke just earned himself a spot in the World Series rotation with 13 strikeouts in a complete game win.
Jeff Bagwell was 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI in the loss for the Thunder.
In the other game, Albert Pujols made one final push for MVP with a two home run, five RBI performance as the Chunky Monkey held on to beat the Fort Lauderdale Flash 9-8.
Manny Ramirez added a home run and three RBI for the Monkey. David Wright was 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBI for the Flash, while Cory Lidle took the loss to become the only 10-game loser in the league.
