World Series Game 3: Flash score twice off Beck; take series lead

Joe Dimaggio singled home Mike Lavalliere in the top of the 9th inning to lead the Fort Lauderdale Flash over the Rolling Thunder 4-3 in Game 3 of the World Series.

Mike Mussina was cruising and looked like he was gonna get the complete game until he gave up a three-run home run to Kenny Lofton, to give the Thunder the 3-2 lead.

But the Flash scored two runs in the 9th off of Rod Beck to take a 2-1 series lead. Dan Quisenberry ended up getting the win, pitching 2 1/3 innings of hitless ball.
