The Golden Glovers trade David Wells, Ricky Bones and David Wright to the Rolling Thunder for Kris Benson, C.C. Sabathia and Pablo Sandoval.

“I wanted Sandoval at the draft, so this helps me get the third baseman I wanted. I think I can move him to a different spot in the order to help our offense.” said Golden Glovers owner. “And maybe Kris Benson can glitch it up and help my staff.”

Sandoval is hitting .190 with 3 HRs and 11 RBI, while Benson is 2-1 with a 4.85 ERA. Sabathia is 1-3 with a 5.28 ERA.

Meanwhile, the Thunder is looking to gamble on David Wells rebounding from a bad start. Wells is 1-3 with a 5.06 ERA, but was 11-2 just a few seasons ago. Bones is 1-1 with a 4.08 ERA and Wright is hitting .169, 3 HRs, 8 RBI.

“The Thunder has had a losing culture for quite some time now and we felt as an organization that if we can bring in a player like David Wells,” said the Rolling Thunder owner. “With his leadership and experience from his World Series run 2 seasons ago, we feel he will be a perfect complement to our rotation. Plus Danny Jackson blows.”

The trade will go into effect for Game 31.
