WS Game 1: Castilla, Rivera pace Flash past Glovers 3-1

Vinny Castilla was 2 for 4 with two home runs and two RBI to lead the Fort Lauderdale Flash over the Golden Glovers 3-1 in Game 1 of the World Series.

Chan Ho Park got the win, going 5 2/3 innings with six strikeouts, but Mariano Rivera had an outing for the ages as he pitched 3 1/3 innings of hitless ball with five strikeouts for the save.

Brad Johnson added three doubles in the win, while Charles Johnson had a home run in the loss.
