Game 28: Jimenez pitches Fort Lauderdale Flash past Monkey

Bonds (2 HRs) lifts Thunder over Glovers

Ubaldo Jimenez pitched a complete game, allowing only two earned runs, while striking out 12 as the Fort Lauderdale Flash got past the Chunky Monkey 5-4.

Brad Anderson was 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBI, while Hanley Ramirez added three hits in the victory.

Ken Griffey Jr. had a home in the loss, while Livan Hernandez gave up five earned run in five innings.

In the other game, Barry Bonds hit two home runs with four RBI, while George Brett also added four RBI to lead the Rolling Thunder past the Golden Glovers 10-4.

Jhoulys Chacin got the win, going 8 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts, while Jason Jennings got the lost, giving up seven earned runs in two innings.
